Bradford City Community Foundation are looking to appoint a highly motivated full time teacher of BTEC Sport. 

Working in a professional sport environment at Bradford City Football club you will be responsible for the delivery, assessment and management of 2 sports cohorts, delivering BTEC Level 3 Sport. 

The post will commence 31/10/ 2016 or shortly before.
You will need to have experience of BTEC delivery and assessment, a qualified teacher or equivalent and a relevant degree. You will have experience of working with 16 – 19 students. 

You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, well organised and flexible. Candidates need to have high expectations for all pupils both academically and with their behaviour.

An opportunity has arisen for a hardworking Education and Sports Teacher to join Bradford City Community Foundation 
The Role: 

•Prepare and deliver all educational aspects including BTEC Sport. Keep up to date with new resources, methods and national objectives. 

•To provide all students with a high quality-learning programme, through which each individual is able to improve their own performance and achieve. 

•To demonstrate a high level of expertise in your subject and an understanding 

• Knowledge of qualifications from Level 2 through to Level 5, considering assessment criteria and procedures.  

•To act as a Learning Facilitator to a group of students for whom you are responsible in terms of setting individual targets, monitoring performance and ILP’s 

•Provide guidance and support to raise aspirations and achievement. 

•Liaising and networking with other professionals, partners of the foundation, parents/guardians both informally and formally. 

•Understand and utilise the online platform to deliver the BTEC programme, ensuring learners are uploading their individual work.
•Provide weekly records of student’s attendance. 

•Prepare pupils for qualifications and external examinations. 

•Manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and in the foundations surrounding areas, applying appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour, adhering to department’s escalation process. 

•Be responsible for her/his teaching room with regard to health and safety, good order, appearance and display. 

•Plan, prepare and reflect on lessons that inspire, motivate and challenge learners. 

•Maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devising and writing new curriculum materials. 

•Take part in regular formative assessment, which enables all learners to improve and complete progress checks and reports as required. 

•Report on learner’s progress monthly. 

•Undertake pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of form tutor, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties. 

•Communicate with parents/guardian over learners’ progress. 

•Qualified teacher status: PGCE 

•University Graduate 

•Ability to work on own initiative or as part of team 

•Microsoft office including word, PowerPoint and Excel 

•Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing 

•Knowledge and experience of Teaching, Sports Coaching and Development in school or community setting

•Relevant Safeguarding and Protecting Children
