The Laila Milly Foundation

We are pleased to have been able to provide a little support for the Laila Milly Foundation.

Laila, who sadly passed away this year before her first birthday, was the daughter of ex-Scunthorpe player, Steve McCormack and his wife, Maya.

Laila had a rare condition called Aicardi syndrome and since diagnosis, Steve and Maya have worked tirelessly to raise funds for the Foundation, their aim being "to raise funds for a children's day nursery, providing care for children aged 3 months to 5 years with serious illnesses and complex conditions".

So far, fund raising activities have included Steve climbing Ben Nevis, and a sky dive is planned later this year. Football Clubs have also been helping by donating different items to help raise funds, and we were pleased to be able to donate a signed shirt and pictured here is Michael Flynn presenting Steve and Maya with it.
