N-Power respect campaign

"Bradford City FC Community Foundation is delighted to be part of the nPower Football League Respect programme

Bradford City FC Community Foundation, in partnership with nPower and The Football League, has devised a project to make young people aware of the effects of disrespect. In the current climate, with the country being hit by deep recession and the bad publicity younger people have been receiving, using the power of football and recent events in the media, we aim to help young people to realise how disrespect affects others' lives.

The Respect programme comprsies of an hour's lesson per class where we teach the children the difference between respect and disrespect using football as the tool to engage and teach the pupils. It is classroom-based and is aimed at Years 5 and 6, and so far, has received some really postive feedback:

"The children were all engaged through the activity. An excellent pace, with lots of short activities to keep the children on task...." - Margaret MacMillan Primary School

"Fantastic workshop; all the children loved it" - Stanningley Primary School

"Am excellent presentation" - Horizon Pupul Referral Unit
