Bradford City F.C. Community Foundation

The Billy Bantam Penalty Shoot-out, a schools initiative, has proved extremely popular with all schools that have taken part. We provide a six week programme free of charge (and all the equipment) which ends up with a penalty shoot-out. 5 hours of football coaching in school plus penalty shoot-out competition.

The shoot-out involves the children being sponsored by family and friends to take 4 penalties against Billy Bantam, the Bradford City Football Club mascot.

The proceeds from the shoot-out are split 50/50 between the school and the community team (a non-profit making charity which puts all the money back into the community for future projects). All balls and medals will be paid for by BCFITC.

Over 40 schools in the Bradford area took part in 2009 raising over £35,000 for school funds with two schools raising over £4,000 each !!!

An autographed football is given to the child with the most sponsors, and a medal for all children taking part who bring £2 or more into the school. All children raising over £20 receive a BCFC leather ball. All boys and girls are guaranteed a fun day whilst raising money for their school.

If you are interested in taking part ask your school to contact us for details:
